Katherine Jenkins has thanked her fans for their congratulations wishes after she announced her engagement to fellow welsh tv presenter Gethin Jones.The couple met on TV show 'Strictly Come Dancing' back in 2007 when she made a guest appearance on the show while Gethin was a contestant.
She thanked her fans via twitter, "Thank you for all your kind tweets & messages today... They mean a lot x".
Gethin Jones, 32, proposed at then end of their holiday in Mexico last month.
She told fans in a message on her website that the big day would be next year, but the couple had not yet set a date.
She wrote: "Geth and I are engaged! He popped the question at the end of an amazing holiday on the coast of Mexico and of course I said yes.
"We haven't set a date yet but it will be sometime next year.
"Thank you for the lovely messages we have already received. It means a lot to us."
Newspapers have said the couple were planning to get married in Wales in summer 2012.
She told fans in a message on her website that the big day would be next year, but the couple had not yet set a date.
